Discipline and date of your BA or BS degree: B.S. of General Studies August 2025
What influenced your decision to pursue a Master of Public Health at UConn?: I decided to pursue an MPH to further my literacy in identifying disparities related to healthcare. Through this experience, I aim to develop the person-centered perspective needed to comprehend and address issues affecting the healthcare system. Furthermore, I hope to explore social action and community outreach in my career.
Background: I grew up in a suburban area outside of Scranton, Pennsylvania. I eventually moved to Connecticut while pursuing my undergraduate degree at the University of Connecticut.
Life Outside Work and School: I am involved as an Urban Health/AHEC Scholar in the Urban Service Track. In this experience, I work with fellow professional health students at learning retreats and volunteer events to support marginalized communities. Additionally, I am heavily involved in the professional pharmacy fraternity, Lambda Kappa Sigma, and the American Pharmacists Association student chapter at UConn.
Your immediate (next 1-5 years) career goals: Within the next few years, I hope to finish my Pharm.D./MPH degree and then pursue residency for ambulatory care pharmacy. I would like to address patient questions and issues related to their medications and conditions while working within an interprofessional team. Utilizing both degrees, I strive to be a public health advocate in my career.
