Discipline and date of your BA or BS degree: B.S. in Molecular & Cellular Biology, May 2025
What influenced your decision to pursue a Master of Public Health at UConn?: I made the decision to pursue a Master of Public Health to further my understanding of how healthcare is delivered and received by various populations, as well as identify potential strategies that could be implemented to reduce barriers to care. By gaining a more comprehensive understanding of where these barriers come from and how they affect different populations, I aim to develop the knowledge and perspective needed to contribute to more equitable healthcare for historically underserved communities.
Background: I was born and raised in CT by immigrant parents who influenced my passion towards helping others and my strong work ethic. Thanks to them, I speak 3 languages relatively fluently, and hope to speak more in the future!
Life Outside Work and School: I like to stay active by weightlifting and bouldering with friends. When having a night in, I love to game or consume long-form content on niche topics to broaden my knowledge (and keep myself prepped for any trivia challenge).
Your immediate (next 1-5 years) career goals: I hope to complete my Pharm.D./MPH and eventually pursue residency for oncology pharmacy. I look forward to working closely with an interprofessional team to address and answer the questions and concerns of patients. I hope to use the knowledge gained through this program to better serve patients and their families and deliver the best healthcare possible.
